The patented SR (special reduction) process allows up to four thicknesses of insulation per weight category: High Loft, Compact, Super Compact, and Ultra Compact (see bottom of page).

The SR process allows a variance in the thickness of a chosen weight without a proportional loss in thermal value. For example, the TMK 170g can be reduced 50% in thickness with only a 10% reduction in warmth (see chart).
It is also possible to "mix" different thicknesses of a given weight on the same garment to achieve the highest level of customization for the end-use.
